From The Architect:

The client of this village duplex project visits their homeland annually. Given the beauty of the natural surroundings, the client desired a home with exposure to natural light and a strong connection to the landscape. The design aim was to keep the ground coverage of the building as minimum as possible while giving an impressive look within a plane architecture. The client’s requirement brief is translated on-site through the careful placement of building’s massing where there is no negative space while keeping a large green lawn at the West side of the site. The ground floor houses the living, double height dining, two guest bedrooms and a kitchen connected to the backyard. In the first floor, four bedrooms connect to each other through a circulation space which is linked to a spacious roofless terrace. The overall architectural composition of the building is properly harmonized through the planes and creates a volumetric approach.
